September 22, 2011 Update
Wow! What a huge success our Non-Fundraiser Fundraiser has been! Thank you to all the Hale families and many other community families who have chosen to participate. Thanks to your support, we have met our financial goal for the 2011-2012 Hale PSG budget needs... and donations are still coming in! Response to this approach has been fantastic, with many of you offering lots of positive feedback. It's something that has been talked about for many years and we are thrilled to see it succeed. The PSG truly appreciates all the financial support and kind words and we look forward to continuing to provide the children of Hale Middle School with great opportunities throughout this school year.
Anyone interested may still participate in the Non-Fundraiser Fundraiser! Your tax-deductible contributions are welcome year round! Donations can be sent in to the Hale School office or mailed to Hale PSG, P.O. Box 115, Stow MA 01775.
Over the past few years, the Hale PSG has had many fundraisers. Some have been successful, others less so. Raising money for the PSG has always been an exhausting endeavor; recruiting volunteers, creating buzz, and organizing the event itself. And of course, there is never a guarantee of success.
Over the years, some parents have questioned the fundraising process at Hale. The PSG believes this is because there is a lack of knowledge as to where the money actually goes.
Hale PSG DOES fund:
- Arts and cultural enrichment - Contributes funds to each grade for in-school special events, assemblies, guest speakers & performers along with assistance in the cost of field trips
- 8th Grade reception
- Staff appreciation events
- Scholarships for in need students
- Hale Alumni scholarships for graduating seniors
- After-school club stipends
Hale PSG DOES NOT fund:
- Hale play
- 8th Grade Washington trip
- School store
This year we would like to do things differently. We are asking you to consider giving a monetary donation by September 9, 2011, so that we don't have to hold any other fundraisers.
Twenty dollars is the average annual amount that the PSG spends on your child. We could eliminate Hale PSG fundraising for the school year 2011-12, based on 100% family participation by 9/9/11. All contributions would be anonymous and, as always, tax-free. You are under no obligation to donate, but we would appreciate your helping us reach our goal to enrich all our children's time at Hale.
